The House

The House are a chamber-pop trio based in Wichita, Kansas City, and Nashville. After their 2021 release, "The House - EP" the band hit a sonic reset in their music, exchanging grandiose guitars and drums in favor of intimate, swirling production elements, tightly wrapped around acoustic guitars, chamberpop arrangements, and summery harmonies. Between 2021 and 2024, the band shared a studio space in Wichita and leaned harder into their influences such as Feist, Blake Mills, Arthur Russel, and Devendra Banhart. Their lush instrumentation is augmented by weightless electronics, springy electric guitars, gentle piano melodies, and dreamy effects. While the sound evokes the humidity of a Midwest summer, the songs themselves are feathery and introspective, celebrating the beautiful and mundane alike.

Their first full-length album, “Soft Stuff” will be released in 2025 on Les Bonbons Electriques, an imprint of The Record Machine
